Integral House

Vince suggested looking at the Integral House by Howard Sutcliffe and Brigitte Shim. In this particular design, the wood panels control the amount of light that is allowed to enter the building.

  1. The bouncing or indirect nature of the light is critical to this project and its value to you in this exercise. The nature of the wooden slats also attests to the ability to frame certain views out to the environment as well as block views into the building. This is a notable project for many of you.
