Charrette Drawings (Erik)

  1. -given the orientation of the project towards lighting, it comes as a surprise that the design of the plan is so rectilinear and at odds with the orientation expected of a project in this location (it is understood that the black arrow in your plan points North)
-the ribs of glazing that have such a potency in their aggregation along the roof do not have that going into the rest of the building to the point where it ceases about 1500mm above grade; consider taking the bands down to the way through the project such as into the ground condition, as structural ribs on the inside that could hold books, furnishings, or much more
-you suffer from the section dilemma we spoke with everyone about earlier this term; don't do it; it is quite a surprise to see the plan so plain and have the section simply sit as an extrusion
-material choice is fine but the overall shape could be fixed (the 90 degree corners in plan are odd)
-remember that this is a design project rather than illustration so it is highly advised to strengthen your skills with a computer in order to ensure that your design clarity is properlycommunicated; context is still missing here!
