Shigeru Ban's Naked House and The Wall-less House (Liam Van Steekelenburg)

The Naked House

Shigeru Ban's Naked House emphasizes flexibility by eliminating almost all physical grounding within the one room building. The building consists of mobile containers made for sleeping quarters and isolation. The stationary components include the  bathroom, kitchen, utilities and storage areas which are surrounded by curtains. All the rest of the furniture is maneuverable.

The Wall-less House

Shigeru Ban's Wall-less home goes to the extreme and lacks interior and exterior walls. It does have sliding doors inside that can recreate spaces to your preferences, but once again the bathroom components are rigid. Whats different about this space compared to the Naked house is that there are fewer exterior walls. In both cases the outlook of the interior is totally up to the preferences of the visitor.
