My Charrette Drawings (Liam Hall)

I know I'm committing a cardinal sin by posting pictures of my drawings but the scanner isn't working right now.
I can repost them if needed when the scanner is working

These first two are from my charrette submission
Axonometric Drawing at a scale of 1:40
Plan, Section, and Elevations Drawings at a scale of 1:50

I just did this drawing now when I realized my axonometric drawing from the charrette was incorrect.

  1. And if the scanner does not work, you know how to use Photoshop to desaturate and balance the levels for a suitable post.
The design is shaping up however there are two things you might want to address:
-the roof lines with pitches need not happen; clean and straight might be better for you and I suspect it would be stronger for the design (plus save on the sloppiness of your geometry at the roof level); think about Erickson's precedent or Wright's classic houses - they don't put pitches for the sake of geometry
-you should really think about the siting of this as well as the potential of having some of your spaces extend as decks or formalized extensions of the building; similar to what Hilborne house does, you might find that doing so makes for a better design as well as forces a serious look at site issues
