Trinity-Bellwoods Pavillion Interim (AC)
With my design I tried to bridge the rink condition and the park condition by extruding a slab of the ground up to create a walk-able green roof that alludes to the parks history as part of the Garrison Creek system. I angled the multiflex space towards the dog bowl to gain more solar exposure and also to give panoramic views of the whole park and the 'Dog Bowl'. As the person walks up the ramp they go thru an experience of the park's history from first being Garrison Creek, then getting buried to become a sewer, and finally when they reach the very top, the viewer then has a grand view of the park in its current state.
